Today I saw a 5min slideshow of paralympics on Channel 5.
I was so touched, I teared.
Their determination and the confidence really amazed me.

The many swimmers who do not have limbs and needed "tappers".

Igor Plotnikov of Russia won the gold medal in the Men's 100m Backstroke and he has no arms.
Li Duan who won the Men's Triple Jump and he is blind.All of them are so focused.
They are not obstructed by their disabilities or insecurities as they have converted their disabilities into abilities. They are not defeated by their disabilities.
Disability does not equate to inability.
I truly admire them.


Zhang Zhen who is blind and ran with a guide won Men's 1500m.

Zhang won and he was so happy but I wondered how the guide feels. No one knows the guide's name but what I saw was a selfless person, a father beaming with pride and joy, watching his son succeed.

It's time for some self-evaluation I guess..

Can I be like the athletes?

Can I be like the guide?

Not easy.

With esther pui see around, I just totally have no drive to blog cos she'll do all the blogging! haha.. =) Anyway, this wk hasn't seen esther much cos I was really rushing sch work, shoe orders, house warming invitation cards, FUN on SUN flyers, slacking, cooking and having frens over. =) Quite a good Sabbath cos I took time to just slow down, rest and really pondered about my life. haha.. my life. sounds big deal but it wasn't at all. haha.. but one thing for sure, I'm falling in love with resting.

Anyway, on MONDAY, my NIE friends came over for their turn of housewarming at our place! man.. it was madness rush cos preparation was in between lessons and I was having a very bad headache from sleeping only at 3am the previous night. NONETHELESS it was FUN! Really thank God for the MOST wonderful classmates EVER!
Joseph, XW and I meet almost every morning for breakfast. We'll have mini bible sharing before lessons. We try our best not to let the content deviate too far. haha.. =) Have been praying and working hard with them to tell my ONES more about God and things have definitely been quite smooth sailing! GOD IS GOOD! =)

TUESDAY was spent at my MIL and FIL's place for dinner. Elvin and I rushed down from SGH cos elvin was having his MRI for his back.. Praying hard that it won't deteriorate. DINNER was fantastic! What's even better was the company! Sis and Jidi! =) A great night of rehearsing for the photo challenge! DANGER.

the C.T.S.S kids came over on WEDNESDAY for dinner! oh my! they were hilarious! esp VERONICA! man.. she CAN eat sia! and YANJING is a rice pot!she just keep eating A LOT of rice! haha.. As usual, once the netballers meet, it's nonstop netball talk. Poor darren, elvin and yiqing.. They were trying so hard to watch TV cos we were so loud in our discussion! haha.. =) Then we starting talking about shoes and YanJing's prom dress. It felt funny cos they like 8yrs younger and they were asking for some advices and I totally felt SO old. BUT I love this bunch! Told them they can come again when they are free and veronica immediately asked if she can come over to study tmr! hahaha.. =)

didn't go NUS on THURS cos I was SO tired.. After elvin got off from his OT, we rushed to IMM to get ingredients for TODAY's dinner feast. GIANT is so cool. It's huge and they really sell almost EVERYTHING.

FRIDAY!!!!!! Charis wong was my highlight of the day! Went out with her to get some craft materials and after that she came by my place to do craft! haha.. i'm seriously spreading this craft thing!! fun!

SATURDAY!! Just ended Dinner with kor, kaixin, elvin, sis, raj. I cooked a storm! two types of dumpling, roasted prok belly, special egg dish, vegetables, ABCDEF soup, etc!! Thank God for elvin! who always clean up after me! =)
AND elvin and I played NETBALL for 3hrs at NUS in the morning! super shiok! Playing something that u like so much with someone whom u like so much is the best thing ever! =)

SUNDAY! going NIE to support my students for PESS. AND watch veronica and qian hui compete! =)

Oh ya! I love my family! I'm so thankful for all the help and support they offer.. My mum is the most efficient and resourceful person i know of and my sister is just totally supportive and she really protects me from nonsense! =) Dad and kor is equally wonderful. They have been replanting the garden and repainting the house! haha.. Kor is the power one. He has been transporting the door gifts to malaysia for me! =) My dad is the CONTON guy. haha.. He samples every food and wedding roast pig just to make sure the taste and size is good. =)
Most importantly, my new family, ELVIN! He is really encouraging and plus all the good points mentioned above and i'm so glad it's him i'm marrying! hee.. this is a post full of exclamations. haha.. okok.. i shall stop here and let the photos speak. =)
